Horizon Forbidden West is an action role-playing game on PlayStation 5 and 4. It is developed by Guerrilla and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
It is the sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn (2017) and is played in a post-apocalyptic open world with a third-person perspective.
My missions
Quest pitches proposals.
Quests narrative design and content together with Writing team.
Building, scripting and bug-fixing main and side quests using the Decima engine.
Designing level layouts and combat encounters.
Quest design documents, production follow-up and asset requests.
Creating a gameplay system and overseeing it from concept to final implementation.
Assisting animation R&D with motion capture acting for NPCs.
At Guerrilla a Quest Designer usually owns a quest from start to finish.
They regularly communicate with almost every department; environment and lighting artists on the layout, tech/core design for support with a systemic interaction, conversations and cinematics team to integrate scenes into the quest, combat design to ensure encounter plays well and is utilizing AI well.

QUESTS
Full design (Brainstorm, pitch, design, scripting, implementation and bug fixing. Narrative design and content together with the Writer of the quests):
- Side Quest - Shadow from the Past (The Daunt area).
- Side Quest - The Promotory (Plainsong area).
- Side Quest - Boom or Bust (Stillsands area).
Brainstorm, pitch and narrative content together with a Writer:
- 6 Side Quests.
DESIGN - Investigation system: design, prototyping together with the Technical Designer and writing of the technical documentation and instructions so that teams can implement it in their content.
- Specific traversal design for a main quest.
MOTION CAPTURE ACTING Specific to each tribes (Oseram, Utaru and Tenakth):
- Walking cycles.
- NPCs idles.
- NPCs agenda animations when interacting with NPCs or the environment.
- Reactions when Aloy bumps into NPCs.
